Frequently asked
questions
What exactly does SlackPilot do?
SlackPilot sets up your Slack workspace based on your answers to 10 questions about your team. It creates channels, user groups, naming conventions, and an onboarding guide — all automatically. You answer the questions, get a code, install the Slack app, enter the code, and your workspace is built.
How long does it take?
The questionnaire takes about 15 minutes. Once you enter your setup code in Slack, the workspace configuration happens in seconds.
Do I need to be a Slack admin?
Yes — the person who installs the SlackPilot app and enters the setup code needs to be a Slack workspace admin, since the app creates channels and user groups.
Will this work with my existing workspace?
Yes. SlackPilot creates new channels and groups — it doesn't modify or delete anything that already exists in your workspace.
What if I don't like the setup?
You can always rename, archive, or delete any channels SlackPilot creates. It's Slack — nothing is permanent. The setup gives you a strong starting point that you can customize.
Is this a subscription?
No. It's a one-time payment of $100. You get full access to the questionnaire, your setup code, and the Slack app. No recurring charges.
Can I use it for multiple workspaces?
Each purchase gives you one setup code for one workspace configuration. If you need to set up multiple workspaces, you'd go through the process again for each one.
What size teams does this work for?
SlackPilot works for teams of any size, from small startups to organizations with hundreds of people. The questionnaire adapts to your team size.
Who made this?
SlackPilot is built by 21b, a Slack-exclusive consulting firm that's helped 200+ organizations implement and optimize Slack. This tool automates the workspace planning process we've refined over years of engagements.
